Job Title: Consultant Physician in Acute Internal Medicine (1 Post)
Department: Acute Services
Base: Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy
WTE: 10 PA’s
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Physician to join us in providing high quality care to the adult population of Fife, working as part of the Acute Medicine team based within the Acute Medical, General Medical and Ambulatory Care units of the Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy.
The successful candidate will have appropriate SPA time, with the team open to discussion regarding areas of specialist interest (either clinical e.g. Infectious Diseases, or non-clinical e.g. teaching). Applications from candidates with a medical subspecialty are welcomed.
There is a commitment to the acute medical receiving on-call rota, currently on a 1:8 weekend rota and 1:28 weekday late rota.
We would be happy to consider applications on a part-time or job share basis and NHS Fife has a number of Family Friendly Policies.
UK trained candidates must be on the specialist register or within 6 months of an approved CCT at the date of interview. Non UK candidates must have confirmation from the GMC that CESR has been awarded at the date of application.
