Due to retirements, we currently have vacancies for midwives here in our Maternity Service in Fife. We can offer you band 5 or band 6 midwifery roles. These posts will be permanent and are rotational posts. We can offer our successful candidates' various hours to suit them. 

The unit is modern and progressive with approximately 3300 births per year. The services include outpatient and community services, a complex care Consultant Unit and an alongside Midwife Led Unit. We have an Induction of Labour unit and Elective Caesarean section team. We have the following additional teams: Birth at Home Team, Vulnerable in Pregnancy, Infant Nutrition, Perinatal Mental Health and Child Protection.
We are developing services in line with Best Start recommendations. We are focussing on increasing our rates of continuity of carer in the first instance. 
We will encourage you with your professional development educational via our dedicated clinical midwife educator and midwifery PEF. We have an extremely successful in-house leadership programme and regularly encourage staff to participate in external networking.

You must be a NMC Registered Midwife, educated to degree level. In addition, you should possess enthusiasm, excellent team working skills with effective communication. 
Fife is situated on the East coast of Scotland, nestled between Edinburgh and Dundee. Fife has been the ancestral home of Scottish monarchs, world-famous for its golf and some of Scotland's best scenic attractions; the Kingdom of Fife has a distinct identity.  The Forth Road and Rail Bridges are the most memorable sights on this stretch of coastline. Fife main towns are Dunfermline, Kirkcaldy, Glenrothes and St Andrews, Scotland's oldest university town, the home of the world-famous Royal and Ancient golf club. Along the coast there are the fishing villages of the East Neuk, the Fife Coastal Path can be enjoyed by recreational and serious walkers.
