Applications are invited for a dynamic and enthusiastic team player with experience in general adult psychiatry for this full time Specialty Grade post in General Adult Psychiatry. The successful applicant will be working in the Intensive Psychiatric Care Unit at Gartnavel Royal Hospital in North West Glasgow. The IPCU role involves medical management of psychiatric patients requiring a locked environment. There is opportunity to develop knowledge and skills around managing patients under the Criminal Procedures Act and Mental Health Act.
It is desirable that a successful applicant would be an Approved Medical Practitioner in terms of the Mental Health (Scotland) Act 2003. It is also desirable that the successful applicant has membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and has a minimum of 3 years postgraduate experience working in Psychiatry.
