Applications are invited from dynamic and enthusiastic individuals for this Fixed term 0.4 wte General Adult Psychiatry Consultant post based at Riverside Resource Centre.
The successful applicant will form an important and integral part of a multi disciplinary team providing a general adult service to adults aged between 18 and 65 years. This post is community only. Associated inpatient beds are based at Gartnavel Royal Hospital and inpatients are looked after by a consultant colleague.
The successful applicant will be expected to work closely with colleagues to provide a full range of services to the out patient population suffering from psychiatric illness.
Excellent communication skills are essential. The post is linked to active teaching programmes and continuing professional development, audit and research are encouraged and supported.
Applicants must have full GMC registration, a licence to practise and be eligible for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register. Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to a CCT in General Adult Psychiatry or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from the date of interview. Non-UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training. Applicants must have MRCPsych or equivalent.
Riverside Resource Centre is based in Partick in the popular West end of Glasgow. There are easy transport links with a train station, underground and bus station within easy walking distance of the resource centre.
