Edinburgh/Glasgow - remote working will apply for the foreseeable future.

Healthcare Improvement Scotland is seeking to recruit an Improvement Advisor within the NMAHP Directorate to support the delivery of the Excellence in Care Programme.  Excellence in Care is a national approach which aims to ensure people have confidence they will receive a consistent standard and quality of care no matter where they receive treatment in NHS Scotland. A key component of Excellence in Care is the Care Assurance and Improvement Resource (CAIR), a central data repository and data visualisation system ‘dashboard’ that allows users to view and understand data, respond appropriately and plan improvement as required. The vision is that the CAIR Dashboard will inform quality of care reviews at national and local level, and drive quality improvement, as part of a Quality Management System Approach. The post holder will provide support for the redesign and continuous improvement of Excellence in Care.

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and positive individual to support the development, implementation and improvement of Excellence in Care.  The focus will be on supporting the development, testing and spreading of a range of measures and approaches to drive safe, effective and person centred improvements in care.  We are at a key stage in the implementation of our work plan which provides an opportunity to support the National Programme Team and Health Boards identify and utilise the learning from the COVID-19 Pandemic and move from the development to the implementation of Excellence in Care and the alignment of the programme with other Local and National Improvement Programmes and Initiatives.

So, if you are passionate about improving the quality of care for people using and working in health and care services, we want to hear from you.

We are looking for an experienced and credible Improvement Advisor who is able to demonstrate experience of applying a range of improvement methods within different contexts and a track record of working with a wide range of stakeholders.
