Occupational Health is key during all phases of employment from pre-employment, through vaccinations and health surveillance to management referrals and ill health retirement.

The clinic nurse is involved in a range of interesting activities including pre-placement activities, providing advice on the Occupational Health Enquiries telephone lines and undertaking immunisation clinics for employees of NHS Lothian and health care students in Lothian.

The role will allow you to develop your transferable skills whilst being supported to learn more about the impact of health on work and work on health. The opportunity to undertake an OH degree may also be available for people with the right skills and enthusiasm.

This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
