Here at Ayrshire and Arran we are delighted to have the opportunity to recruit to the exciting and developing role of Associate Nurse Director – Infection Prevention and Control Team (IPCT).

As one of the most important roles in our organisation, you will lead our already highly skilled and expert Infection Prevention and Control Team.  The role of the IPCT is pivotal, now more than ever, and this has been reflected in significant investment, creating a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, or aspiring leader with the right skills, to continue to develop and grow this service while still early in the redesign phase.  As we continue to respond to the Covid Pandemic while rebalancing existing IPCT priorities, we need a pragmatic and measured leader who can make clear risk and evidence based decisions based on fundamental IPCT knowledge.  This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking for a leadership challenge in the IPCT space, to really make their mark, affect change and broaden their career experience.   Here in Ayrshire and Arran, you will have all the benefits of being in a small board, such as exposure and opportunity to raise your profile within NHS Scotland, while working within a community of supportive colleagues in the context of psychological safety and a clear shared vision.

Shortlisted candidates will be notified week commencing 28^th February 2022​​​​​​​

The selection process will consist of two stages; An in-tray/scenario exercise followed by a competency based interview, including presentation.  Interviews are planned to take place week commencing 14^th March 2022

Please note that interviews will take place either on a face to face basis or via MS Teams.  In the case of face to face interviews, this will be with appropriate social distancing in place, and is subject to applicable Scottish Government guidance.
