​​​​​​​An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, highly motivated and innovative dietitian to join the Nutrition and Dietetic service in NHS Forth Valley.  This post forms part of the West of Scotland and South East of Scotland Trauma Networks.  The successful applicant will have a specific remit for the Forth Valley Specialist Rehabilitation Unit and the stroke and ageing and health beds in Stirling Community Hospital. The post holder will work and liaise across the whole patient pathway.

The post holder will be part of the FV Nutrition and Dietetic team as well as joining a newly developed multi disciplinary specialist rehabilitation team.

Applicants must have experience of working within a rehabilitation setting, and  extensive experience of multidisciplinary working.  They must also be experienced in managing complex nutritional support. In addition, they will need to be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, leadership qualities and can support and develop others.  The successful applicant will be working closely with a range of professionals and support workers and therefore it is essential that they are a good team player.  The post-holder would be expected to actively contribute to departmental activities e.g. student training, department meetings.

This post is suitable for an experienced band 5 dietitian wishing to move into a specialist area or a band 6 dietitian looking to develop their experience in this area. Experience in rehabilitation /stroke is highly desirable.

This post is based at Stirling Community Hospital but the post-holder may also need to in-reach to Forth Valley Royal Hospital.
