This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. An opportunity has arisen for a Therapist Assistant Practitioner to join the Wheelchair & Seating Service’s therapist team at the SMART (Southeast Mobility and Rehabilitation Technology) Centre, Astley Ainslie Hospital, Edinburgh. The SMART Centre (www.smart.scot.nhs.uk) provides highly specialised clinical rehabilitation technology services across Fife, Borders and Lothian

The post holder will be allocated a delegated patient caseload by the qualified AHP and be expected to work independently within clinics, hospital or domiciliary, patient focused assessment and provision or modifying existing treatment plans. Knowledge of wheelchairs and seating would be an advantage but training will be provided if required.

Support qualified AHP staff, providing an active clinical role within the specialist clinical area as guided by the registered practitioner.
