Advanced or Lead Pharmacist (Band 8A)

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated, forward thinking and highly motivated pharmacist to become part of our senior clinical pharmacy team. You will be leading an exemplary clinical pharmacy service in a large surgical unit, including the surgical high dependency unit, providing high quality colorectal and urology surgeries. You will be at the forefront of clinical decision making, working closely with the multidisciplinary team in surgery as well as other specialist teams (eg: Acute Pain, Infection, Anaesthetics).

You will also be participating in service development and quality improvement initiatives within the unit and in Pharmacy.

Candidates must have a Master of Pharmacy Degree or equivalent, must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), and should have completed a Clinical Diploma or Masters in Clinical Pharmacy.  An independent prescribing qualification is desirable.
