  1. JOB PURPOSE


To work as a member of the Physiotherapy Team providing a professionally competent service, aiming to provide effective assessment, advice and treatment to patients attending Physiotherapy in a safe clinical environment on a 4 monthly rotational basis or as a static post – see role profile.


An exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Physiotherapist has arisen within the NHS Lanarkshire physiotherapy team. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic team with a wide range of rotations at University Hospital Wishaw, Monklands or Hairmyres. Appropriate training and support will be provided to develop staff joining the physiotherapy team.

Job Purpose


On a four monthly basis move into a new clinical area, develop new relationships with teams and develop the necessary clinical skills to be an effective physiotherapist.


Work independently to provide emergency respiratory on-call care to support the delivery of the 24hr service to critically ill patients.



Additional Information Specific to the Role


As a part of this role you may be required to work 5 days over 7.


The successful candidate will be a Registered Physiotherapist with valid HCPC Registration.


To be considered for this post the post holder will be required to demonstrate excellent team working skills with the ability to work using own initiative,

effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team, excellent time management skills with

working knowledge of basic information technology.
