Please note: As this post is  part-time, the salary will be pro-rata.

Provide confidential counselling to employees in NHS Lothian and employees of commercial clients of Lothian Occupational Health & Safety Services.

Provide counselling in accordance with NHS protocols, the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions and COSCA (Counselling & Psychotherapy in Scotland) Statement of Ethics and Code of Practice.

Mentoring Students on placement

Fulfil service requirements in evaluating the Counselling Service for the staff of NHS Lothian in order to meet the objectives/specification of the Occupational Health & Safety Service and Medical Directorate of NHS Lothian.

This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
