An exciting opportunity to join the NHS Lanarkshire physiotherapy management team with responsibility for the professional and operational management of community staff located in the South partnership.
This South Community Physiotherapy Lead post provides an exciting opportunity to join a supportive NHS Lanarkshire Physiotherapy management team. The remit will include both professional leadership and operational management roles with a variety of teams including: Integrated Community Support Teams; Care Home Liaison Physiotherapy; South Community Hospital Physiotherapy and NHS Lanarkshire Falls Team. There will also be considerable opportunity to influence the implementation of falls strategy work.
The post holder will be responsible and accountable for the delivery of Physiotherapy services, operational management, leadership and professional development of physiotherapy staff and support staff within the identified sites and speciality areas.
The Physiotherapy Lead contributes to the strategic direction, clinical leadership and co-ordination of the physiotherapy service across NHS Lanarkshire in conjunction with the other Physiotherapy Leads, the Deputy Head of Profession and the Head of Profession.
To be considered for this position applicants should be a Registered Physiotherapist with valid HCPC Registration, educated to/working towards/operating at Masters Level with the ability to demonstrate knowledge of NHS Scotland’s Leadership Qualities framework or equivalent framework.
Professional, leadership and managerial experience within speciality / area of practice that demonstrates the breadth of knowledge required to lead safety, effectively and efficiently and extensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the health care agenda is essential.
A valid driving licence is required.
