The Tayside Nutrition and Dietetic Service offers an opportunity for a specialist dietitian to join our surgical team at Ninewells Hospital and Medical School, Dundee.
There will be opportunity to contribute to the existing nutritional support pathways for surgical patients and those admitted with COVID-19. Candidates should have some previous experience in nutritional support. Excellent inter-personal and communications skills and the ability to demonstrate good team working as well as being able to work autonomously are required.
Excellent working relationships exist with dietetic colleagues throughout NHS Tayside via the Tayside Nutrition & Dietetic Service and the Tayside Nutrition Network to develop and implement evidence-based practice, receive peer support and help to progress Continuous Professional Development. There is also a commitment to training of dietetic students, medical students and other professionals working in health care settings.
You must be able to demonstrate clinical reasoning, relevant experience and sound knowledge of Nutrition and Dietetic assessment, acute management, treatment and rehabilitation.
You must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
Written approval must be sought from your line manager prior to applying for this secondment. You will be required to bring this if shortlisted for interview
