We have an amazing opportunity for a Health Care Support worker in the Vale of Leven Hospital
The Vale of Leven Hospital (VOL) in Alexandria, serves a population around 88,000, its catchment extending from Dumbarton to Lochgoilhead, including Helensburgh and Lochside area. The Vale of Leven hospital is part of the largest health board in the UK - NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde, so the opportunities are endless.
The Vale of Leven Hospital, is a smaller hospital, but extremely busy with an efficient Minor Injuries Unit and strong community feel within its workforce.
It has “front door” services, in-patient beds, and out-patient services. It has a unique staffing complement for a medical receiving hospital, so every day is different. We work in partnership with our sister hospital, Royal Alexandra in Paisley to transfer unstable or potentially unstable patients, in the safest way possible.
The Role
The opportunity to join this fantastic team would see the ideal candidate as being reliable, motivated and enthusiastic, and keen to work is busy Healthcare Environment caring for our patients.
There will be the opportunity to develop your skills further to assist you in the role, from Statutory Mandatory training to role specific training. Venepuncture would be desirable but not essential for this role, as well previously working in a care setting.
Most importantly, you would be caring and understanding of our elderly patients, with good communication, IT and organisational skills. There should be an element of flexibility in your approach to assist our wards to care for our patients.
