We are seeking a Lead Salaried General Practitioner to join our team at Maryfield Medical Centre. Our practice is a modern, purpose-built facility with bright, spacious consulting rooms in the Mayfield district of Dundee. Dundee itself is a vibrant city with two universities, good schools and affordable housing.
Maryfield Medical Centre is a 2C (Health Board-run) practice with all staff being directly employed by NHS Tayside. This is an attractive post for a GP seeking to take on a Leadership role, and provide excellent clinical care without the additional responsibilities attached to a partnership.
NHS Tayside offer favourable terms and conditions including a defined work load (job plan), competitive salary, generous annual leave and study leave packages and weekly protected CPD.
The practice is well supported by experienced administration and nursing teams.
Our Practice Nurses are committed to providing holistic care and specialise in chronic disease management. All practice-based diabetic care is provided by our Lead Practice Nurse, who is also a Non-Medical Prescriber.
We work from a purpose-built facility with bright, spacious consulting rooms. On-site Community Nursing Team and Health Visitors enable a true multi-disciplinary approach to patient care.
The post will suit trained primary care physicians who are attracted to work in an environment of development with other like minded professionals and whose focus is on the delivery of high quality clinical care. The Doctors in the team will be expected to contribute to service and strategic improvement with colleagues inside the practice and with associated locality services.
Dr David Shaw, Clinical Director, Dundee Health and Social Care Partnership (david.shaw@nhs.scot) if you would like an informal discussion or further information.
We are looking to appoint to the post at the earliest opportunity and therefore encourage you to submit your application as soon as possible with a view to fast tracking applications and arranging interviews as they are received.
