We are looking for a Fixed term 3 month Band 6 Nurse to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Team based at Inverclyde CAMHS. The candidate must be a Mental Health Nurse (RMN/RNLD) with NMC Registration. Relevant post registration experience of working with children and young people (and their families/carers) with a range of mental health difficulties and neuro-developmental difficulties is advantageous. Candidates must have an ability to work independently using own initiative and without direct supervision. You must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and team working skills and demonstrates a positive attitude towards children and young people alongside an understanding of children and young people’s mental health and developmental needs.
The candidate must demonstrate an understanding of family, community, and social systems and have theoretical knowledge and experience of delivering psychological interventions to a high standard. You must also be able to demonstrate that evidence based practice is at the core of your work.
You should be highly organized and have the ability to function competently as a member of the multi-disciplinary team and be highly knowledgeable of factors which impact on mental health and emotional well-being as well as being able to conceptualize vulnerability, including risk factors and intervene to build resilience.
The hours of this post are worked Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm.
