An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced physiotherapist, to join our physiotherapy team as a Clinical Lead Physiotherapist working across the acute surgical areas in University Hospital Crosshouse: including our Intensive Care Unit, Surgical High Dependency Unit, general surgical wards and paediatric ward.
You will be responsible for the delivery of highly skilled physiotherapy to acutely unwell patients, and the rehabilitation of individuals recovering from surgery or critical illness. You will play a significant role in the planning and facilitation of complex transfers and discharges from the acute hospital setting, whilst working closely with the multi-disciplinary team, relatives and carers.
As a lead clinician you will provide clinical leadership, education and professional support to our team, and have a significant role in the training and support of staff participating in our Out of Hours Emergency On call service, as well as under-graduate physiotherapy students.
You will provide support to the team lead in meeting the clinical and staff governance standards, and also service review and quality improvements.
Excellent communication, leadership, team working, organisational and time management skills are essential. Proven experience in service review and quality improvement is desirable. You must be HCPC registered and have relevant clinical knowledge, skills and experience in surgical and intensive care settings, and in in respiratory physiotherapy.

Due to the nature of this role, a car driver is essential.
Hours: Up to 37.5 per week over 7 days. Part-time hours will be considered.
