This is a term time only contract (39 weeks)

A rarely available opportunity has arisen to join our Special Schools nursing team, who are a diverse and dedicated group of staff with an extensive range of skills. The team sits within the Children & Young People’s Community Nursing Service which provides care and support to children with complex needs and their families in their own homes, respite, out of school clubs and special schools, utilising a GIRFEC approach that is now embedded within our scope of practice.  A nurse, preferably with experience of working with children/young people and with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, is now required to complement the special schools team. There will be an expectation to rotate between special schools to share knowledge, skills and working practices.
The successful candidate will require to have a first level registration within child, adult or learning disability nursing, with a willingness to undertake further training.
