An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual to join the West of Scotland Safe Haven team to support the design and delivery of a range of projects.  This vacancy will be based in the Safe Haven team and will support a range of real world evidence research projects and also the data aspects of certain innovation projects (artificial intelligence/ machine learning algorithms, decision supports apps).  The focus is on delivering data and digital technology solutions using data from health and social care across the region.


Reporting to the Safe Haven Manager, the core skill set for this post will be a detailed knowledge and experience of technical SQL programming with large datasets.  You will have advanced analytical skills, innovative thinking and a track record of facilitating the delivery of change within a challenging environment. You will be required to work closely with key stakeholders across Health, Academia and Industry. The role will include the requirement to work with staff within the project team and from elsewhere within eHealth, Research & Development and across the West of Scotland region to facilitate the successful delivery of several projects at a time. You will be based at Smithhills St, Paisley but travel between sites across the West of Scotland is required so a driving license is essential.  You should be qualified in IT/Statistics/Biostatistics to degree level or postgraduate qualification in one of these desciplines or substantial experience.
