We are delighted to advertise a vacancy for a permanent Quality Improvement Midwife.  This exciting post will provide an excellent opportunity for you to enhance the quality of maternity care through important contributions to best practice, clinical governance and leadership.  You will work within all areas of practice throughout NHS Fife maternity providing opportunities for engagement with midwifery teams and women and their families.  The role supports significant professional and clinical leadership and consultancy within midwifery practice that will directly influence maternity care provision.

With the recently published Maternity and Neonatal Review ‘Best Start’ document (http://www.gov.scot/Publications/2017/01/7728) work has begun to review how the recommendations will be implemented and this post will be integral to supporting best practice through implementation, research, audit and evaluation.

You will hold a relevant Master degree or equivalent portfolio. This role will ensure strong collaborative working relationships with external agencies and will contribute to NHS Fife’s strategic aims to transform health and care in Fife to be the best.
