Who We Are 

NHS Education for Scotland (NES) is an education and training body and a special health board within NHS Scotland, with responsibility of developing and delivering education and training for the healthcare workforce in Scotland.

This is a new and exciting opportunity to be part of a newly formed team that will influence and support developing the digital capabilities and technology deployment and adoption across Scotland’s health and social care workforce.  
Digital technology has been essential in supporting health and care provision during the COVID-19 pandemic.  Enabling the acceleration of digitally delivered services across the sector providing much needed support to people across the country.  This has highlighted the need and further opportunities for continuing the momentum of digitally enabling the workforce. Therefore, Scottish Government is funding the role of Digitally Enabled Workforce Admin Assistant reporting through NES Education for Scotland. 


The Role 

The Digitally Enabled Workforce Admin Assistant role is a crucial part of the team providing the admin support to the team involved in delivering the programme of work to develop the Health and Social Care Workforce Improving Digital Capability. We are looking for an individual who can multi-task, manage the administrative support, design and distribution of communications through various channels for the team and programme of work.


What you'll be doing  

•    Working with a vibrant, innovative new team and stakeholders to deliver a programme of work that digitally enables the workforce across Health and Social Care  
•    Undertaken administration and workflow of assigned tasks and ensuring that deadlines are met across different projects 
•    Working closely with the Programme Support Officer to ensure the administration function of the team runs efficiently 
•    Helping with the preparation of reports and maintaining the file management of information held by the team in Microsoft 365
•    Creating, designing and completing actions in relation to the communications required to reach key stakeholders across Health and Social Care 
•    Responsible for keeping the projects moving forward within timescales by ensuring the team and key stakeholders have what they need 


What you'll bring 

•    Enthusiastic team player with excellent organisational skills and high attention to detail
•    Experience of working in a project administrative role and familiar with project management, such as planning, task management, time management 
•    Ability to support the design and creation of internal and external communications and campaigns 
•    Proficient in the use of Microsoft 365 apps and services e.g. TEAMs, SharePoint, Sway, Planner, OneDrive and OneNote
•    A high standard of customer service, communication, time management and IT skills
