Job Advert

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the Fife Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS). This allows a suitably qualified individual to take on the role of CAMHS Clinician across our East & West Core Teams.

This post seeks to enhance the current provision for children and young people with complex mental health difficulties. You will join a well established, multi-disciplinary team with the aim of providing effective and timely community based assessments and therapeutic interventions.

You will be required to manage an individual caseload and be able to assess and deliver a range of therapeutic interventions on an individual, family and group basis to children and young people with a wide range of mental health difficulties. The post holders will also be able to demonstrate the ability to work autonomously in a wide variety of hospital and community settings. Fife CAMHS is committed to the development of its staff group and actively encourages participation in the NES CAMHS development programme as well as bespoke training based on individual and service needs.

Applications are invited from individuals who are passionate about children’s mental health and are qualified as Registered Mental Health Nurses or Occupational Therapists. Evidence of continuous professional development is welcomed along with the ability to demonstrate skills and competencies normally associated with significant experience in a Child & Adolescent Mental Health setting. Applicants will be able to respond to the needs of the service and the locality which will include the ability to travel across Fife and wider as required.

For informal enquiries please contact Mrs Jane Sinclair, Interim CAMHS Clinical Service Manager by e-mail at jane.sinclair3@nhs.scot or call 01334 696107 or Mrs Rebecca Beveridge, Core Service Lead by e-mail at rebecca.beveridge@nhs.scot or call 01334 696250

NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay.  This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.  Your offer/contract of employment will therefore reflect the new working hours.  However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your Hiring Manager.

A requirement of this post is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Prior to appointment.

NHS Fife is legally obliged to ensure all its employees are legally entitled to work in the United Kingdom. If you are not a United Kingdom (UK) or Irish National, you are required to confirm your right to work in your application.
