We are now recruiting for a Project Manager to support the HaarSain Programme of Innovation in Reusable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Decontamination, an SBRI project funded by the Scottish Government, in partnership with NHS Tayside and Transport Scotland.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual experienced in management of innovation or project management, to join the NHS Tayside Innovation team. The post holder will work closely with the Innovation Development Manager and other NHS Tayside staff across a number of key projects, principally in the development and evidence gathering around innovations in infection control, including PPE. HaarSain is a Test Bed programme funded by the Scottish Government to build real world evidence for the safe and effective use of a number of innovations in PPE and environmental decontamination. This role will involve liaising with clinical leads, infection control, health and safety, and other key groups in NHS Tayside, as well as external partner organisations, regulatory bodies and innovation companies.
The Innovation Project Manager will be the key contact for this project maintaining good relationships and keeping up to date on all aspects of the HaarSain programme and its sub-projects. The post holder will also work with other clinical and academic teams to provide support and advice on the innovation process, management and implementation, across a broad spectrum of NHS priority areas. This will include liaison with internal management committees as well as Scottish Government representatives to keep other partners and funders up to date on progress. The post holder will undertake the activities required via remote working as well as onsite. For example, attend meetings and on site demonstrations at a number of locations in the region, and may be involved in bringing additional partners or capabilities to the project as required.
Who we are: we are a small innovation team within NHS Tayside, supporting innovation developments which arise from clinical and professional groups in healthcare in Tayside. We also facilitate and support the creation of Test Bed environments and challenges for external innovators to work with us to develop solutions, working to form partnerships with academics, industry and other public sector bodies to develop innovations and bring them into practice.
What you will do: the role is needed to coordinate the SBRI activities working with clinical and professional leads, innovation companies, regulators and the Scottish Government to develop and support this important healthcare programme.
What you will bring: principally we are looking for an enthusiastic self starter who can demonstrate an interest in supporting research, development and implementation of innovation in a healthcare setting. Well organised and able to keep track of, and drive forward, a multi component programme of innovations.

Hours of work are: full time 37.5 hours per week.
Fixed Term/ Secondment for 12 months
