Hours:  Part Time; 1 PA (4 hours per week)

Duration:  Fixed Term for 3 years in the first instance*

NHS Education for Scotland (NES) is the national health board with statutory responsibilities to effect sustainable change through workforce development, education and training across the health and social care system in Scotland, while working at UK level with partner organisations.  


The Foundation Programme Director will be responsible for managing a Foundation Programme and the education and training needs of each individual on the programme (approximately 30 trainees). 


The FPD should be a consultant, career grade doctor or General Practitioner with appropriate experience for the post and is accountable to the Postgraduate Dean or appropriate Associate Dean. He or she may also combine the role with that of an educational and/or clinical supervisor.
