This is an exciting time to join our team. Due to planned restructure, the Women & Children’s Directorate are seeking a highly committed candidate, with excellent communication skills, to promote and act as an advocate for best practice in clinical governance and risk management. It is anticipated the post holder will further enhance the positive risk/governance culture within the Women and Children’s Directorate to ensure that the identification and management of clinical and non clinical risks is viewed positively as a means of safeguarding our client groups and staff and improving the Directorate’s organisational effectiveness.

The much-expanded Women & Children’s Directorate benefits from its diversity providing services for women, children and young people within the home, community, and acute hospital settings. The successful candidate will have a key role facilitating, and providing practical assistance, guidance, and advice to all staff within the Women, Children’s and Sexual Health Directorate regarding Governance and Risk agenda.   

This successful candidate will work closely with the senior managers/professional leaders, as well as liaising with patients and carers to continuously improve systems, structures, and processes of care delivery in accordance with national and local priorities.

The postholder will participate and support the co-ordination of Badgernet within maternity services and wider organisation as appropriate. The post holder will be expected to support the maternity workforce to deliver quality care to women and families through the effective use of a maternity IT system, representing the Directorate locally and nationally within the digital platform.
