Band 6 - Salary Range £33,072 - £40,736 per annum

Distant Island Allowance of £1,971 per annum and Relocation Assistance of up to £8000 available


This post provides an exciting opportunity for an appropriately qualified mental health nurse to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health team. The post holder will be expected to make use of existing skills and competencies pertaining to mental health-related assessment, engagement and treatment.  The CAMHS team consists of a team lead, two CPN’s, two nurse therapists, a Clinical

Associate in Applied Psychology, and visiting Consultants in Psychiatry and Psychology.

Working in our collaborative multi-disciplinary team, you will be expected to manage a generic caseload of children, young people and their families. There will also be a requirement to undertake mental health assessments at the Gilbert Bain Hospital. You will also maintain good links with others involved in providing care for people with a mental illness.

A Registered Mental Health Nurse, you will be confident to work alone, whilst also being able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing a wide range of care to young people and their families affected by mental illness. The successful applicant will desirably have some relevant experience of working with children and young people.
