Information Services Division of NHS National Services Scotland has over 40 years’ experience of supporting NHSScotland to deliver better health outcomes: better data means better lives.

We have an amazing opportunity for you to join our growing team.  As one of our Information Analysts you will:
•    Analyse and interpret complex data.
•    Communicate insights in a customer focussed environment.
•    Present complex data effectively through data visualisation techniques.
•    Use a wide range of data sources and powerful analytics tools to provide insight that supports better decision making.
•    Support Health and Social Care Integration and Primary Care Clusters across Scotland access and analyse our many data sets.
•    Support academics to deliver state of the art research projects.

What skills, background and experience do you need to apply?
•    A Degree (or equivalent, demonstrable data analysis experience within an information service and/or health related field) in a numerically biased discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science Computer Science is essential.
•    Good IT skills with experience of data analysis and use of statistical tools such as SPSS, SAS, R, etc. are also required.
•    Exposure to Data quality, preparation, cleaning, merging and analysis techniques.
•    Experience of analysing and interpreting data – and communicating findings.

Any candidate who have lived/worked overseas for more than 12 months in the preceding 5 years will also be required to provide a criminal record check from the appropriate overseas agency.
