Secondment/ FT opportunity to March 2022 in the first instance*
Hours: 0.4 WTE (15 hours per week)
Base: Glasgow or Edinburgh (remote home working in the first instance)
A Clinical Psychologist is required to join the NES Psychology Directorate to support the national educational projects relating to building psychological capacity and capability in Scottish Paediatric Healthcare.
You will support the Programme Director (Paediatric Psychology) in developing and delivering Psychosocial Educational Support for multidisciplinary staff within Specialist Children’s Services. Your role will focus on supporting local trainers, delivering training, developing training and application to practice groups, enhancing training materials, research and evaluation.
You will be a qualified Clinical Psychologist registered with the Health Care Professionals Council, with experience of working in a Paediatric Psychology setting. Experience of delivering training and developing training materials will be essential, along with experience of managing project/planning deadlines. You will be able to demonstrate flexibility, high-level communication skills and a commitment to engagement in partnership working with a range of stakeholders.
This post will be based in either Glasgow or Edinburgh and regular travel throughout Scotland may be required due to the nature of the post.
This post (4 sessions) is available on part time temporary basis up to March 2022. Candidates are strongly encouraged to approach their current employer to obtain agreement to take up the post on a secondment basis at the earliest opportunity, and by the interview stage at the very latest.
