Full information on the recruiting department is available here.

What you'll do

You will provide proactive business administration/operational support role to the Psychology Directorate, focusing initially on budget/spend tracking and providing a link role with the Procurement team on aspects of service level agreement/contract development. In addition, the role will provide business administration support including development and maintenance of key management information systems and communications, and possible line management of administrative staff.

What you'll bring

You will be a graduate (or have equivalent levels of experience) and be able to bring specialist knowledge and relevant operational business administration experience.  Excellent administrative experience gained in a business/service environment is essential, as is experience of working with information systems, in particular contract management and budget tracking awareness.  You will have advanced skills with Microsoft Office, in particular Teams and Excel.

Relevant operational experience is advantageous, as is work experience in the NHS or a University setting.

You will bring excellent interpersonal and communication skills to the role, as well as demonstrating an ability to organise work flexibly within a multi-stakeholder/multi-deadline environment.

The base location is flexible, however there will be a requirement to support work in both Edinburgh and Glasgow on a regular basis (travel expenses paid in accordance with NES Travel & Subsistence policy), therefore flexibility is required. Please note the role is currently carried out remotely, from home, in line with Scottish Government guidance.
