COVID-19  VACCINATION CHARGE NURSE

Please note this is a fixed term post until 31/03/2022. Sites across NHS Lanarkshire and various hours available.

Clinics operate a 7 days working week from 8am to 8pm covering a 7.5 hour daily working shift and we are looking for staff with the flexibility to travel across the Board Area and be flexible with shift patterns.

As part of a multidisciplinary team the post holder will have responsibility for assessment of care needs and evaluation of programmes of care ensuring the delivery of high quality care to patients. In the absence of the Senior Charge Nurse/Team Leader the post holder will have continuing responsibility for the management and clinical leadership of the area including supervision, development and deployment of staff. 

The successful candidate must be.

  • Registered Nurse with valid NMC Registration
  • Educated to/working towards/operating at Degree Level
  • Post graduate expertise within speciality / area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safety, effectively and efficiently. 
  • Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality / area of practice.
  • Specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies and procedures associated with the speciality/area of practice ensuring that the level of expertise can be utilised to deliver leadership within speciality / area of practice.
  • Leadership skills to enable the day to day management of service delivery.
  • Further education/evidence of Continuous Professional Development in area of speciality including study days/courses/post graduate qualification
  • The post holder will possess excellent team-working/leadership skills and have the ability to motivate others and work using own initiative
  • Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective time management skills
  • Working knowledge of basic information technology
