Strategic and Clinical Development Lead for General Practice

30-40 hours per week


Tayside, 2C Practice [Base to be Agreed]

plus £10,547 per annum (pro rata) management/leadership allowance


​​​​​​​NHS Tayside is seeking a committed and innovate Strategic and Clinical Development Lead to help develop and deliver sustainable services to Board managed practices in Tayside.

The role will provide an opportunity to develop multiple skills in clinical practice, quality improvement and primary care management. This is a complex and exciting leadership role, and the successful applicant will be supported by the Associate Medical Director, Primary Care.

Working in partnership with the 2C Clinical Leads and Regional Practice Manager, the post-holder will promote a collaborative structure, taking a strategic lead role in development activity.  

We are looking for an innovator, with experience of change management, quality improvement and evidence of leading or supporting successful primary care teams.

Development objectives will be mutually agreed with the Associate Medical Director of Primary Care.

Developing and nurturing our GP workforce is a priority for us in Tayside, and this post offers on a pro rata basis, 33 days annual leave +8 public holidays, as well as study leave and regular, weekly protected time for personal study and development.
