Part-time hours – 30 per week

Band 2 - Salary Range £19,609 - £21,615 per annum pro-rata

Plus Distant Islands Allowance of £1,971 per annum pro-rata


An opportunity has arisen for a qualified chef to join our busy catering team at the Gilbert Bain Hospital. The main duties of this role are to assist in the production of meals for hospital patients, staff and visitors. You will be required to work 4 out of 7 days per week on a rota basis which would include weekend working.


The successful candidate will be able to understand detailed instructions as well as relevant legislation. With good literacy, numeracy and communication skills, you will also be able to demonstrate flair in the kitchen and motivate the team as necessary. Consideration will also be given to any candidates interested in completing an SVQ level 2 in professional cookery.
