The primary function of the Dental Central Decontamination Unit at Glasgow Dental Hospital and School is to clean, disinfect, assemble, package, and sterilise reusable dental medical devices in line with manufacturers' guidelines. We are currently looking for a dependable and detail-focused individual to join our team as an Admin, Procurement, and Systems Support, helping to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the production department
- Maintain accurate production records, logs, and reports
- Assisted in maintaining the effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with relevant standards and legislation
- Assist with scheduling production activities and coordinating with suppliers
- Monitor inventory levels and order materials when needed
- Handle general office duties, including data entry, filing, and responding to emails
- Support compliance with health and safety standards and documentation
- Liaise with other departments to ensure clear communication and workflow
Requirements:
- Proven experience in an administrative or coordinator role (production/operations background)
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills
- Familiarity with data systems and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving
