The shift pattern for this post is: Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 16:30

Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part time hours. 

Applicants must hold a Physiotherapy degree (or equivalent), be HCPC registered, and have senior clinical or leadership experience within the NHS. Evidence of postgraduate education and experience in staff development, project management, and quality improvement or research is essential.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent 0.5WTE B7 Practice Development Physiotherapist in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (GGC).

The Physiotherapy Practice Development service is essential for the continued growth and development of Physiotherapists and physiotherapy services across acute adult teams in GGC. They provide the support and intervention to ensure safe, effective, person-centred care is delivered across all physiotherapy services. They have responsibility for developing practice within the organisation aligned to our strategic priorities. The main functions are to promote and facilitate change, translate professional issues, and enable communication and collaboration throughout our 500+ acute physiotherapy staff. The post holder will engage with all grades of Physiotherapy staff, providing support, mentorship and training to ensure that services and interventions are of a high standard and evidence based, in line with National guidelines and Scottish Government Health policy.

Practice Development Physiotherapists are required to work within Physiotherapy, AHP, board wide groups and education providers across several workstreams including Physiotherapy Practice Based Learning, Quality Improvement, Innovation and Research, Professional Leadership, Development and Maintenance of Digital Platforms, Organisation of Development Events.

The role also provides support to the Professional Lead with workforce planning, professional governance, staff development.

Hybrid working patterns apply to this post, however, it is expected that the post holder is able to travel across all sites in GGC for in person session delivery as required.
