These posts offer exciting opportunities to support, develop and adapt dental services to address the current unmet dental needs of the population across NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
Successful candidates must be BDS qualified and registered with the General Dental Council as a dentist. The post holders will be expected to work at various clinics throughout the Public Dental Service providing dental care for both registered and unregistered adult and paediatric patients. Patient on referral to the PDS service will also be provided with dental care. After training is completed dental care may be required to be provided using sedation or general anaesthetic techniques. Applications will be considered for part time and job share arrangements.
The purpose of this post is to provide high quality dental services to the population of Greater Glasgow and Clyde to allow them access NHS care under General Dental Service terms and conditions.
The post holder will provide comprehensive clinical care to priority patients throughout the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde area. These patients include children from vulnerable families and adults with chronic illness, the frail elderly, patients with mental health problems, physical, learning disabilities, unregistered patients. This includes, providing access to care for those experiencing homelessness, those resident in prisons and in secure schools and unregistered and registered patients unable to access care due to the impact of the pandemic.
Interviews for this post will be held on the 1st of March AM and the 3rd of March all day.
