Individuals who do not hold a substantive post with NHS Scotland will be remunerated on Agenda for Change Band 5 pay scale (£26,104 - £32,915)

Once you have successfully been recruited to the Nursing & Midwifery Staff Bank, you will only have access to view and book COVID-vaccination shifts.  You will not be given access to other shifts available on the Nursing & Midwifery Staff Bank.  It is anticipated your contract with the Nursing & Midwifery Staff Bank will be terminated at the end of the COVID vaccination programme.

Please note as a Bank Worker, NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde has no obligation to provide you with shifts, and there is no obligation for you to accept any shifts.

Nursing and Midwifery Staff Bank

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde will publicise all of the available COVID-vaccination shifts via the Nursing & Midwifery Staff Bank.  All professionals interested in becoming a COVID-vaccinator will be added to the Nursing & Midwifery Staff Bank (regardless of their profession).  This will allow COVID-19 Vaccinators to view and self-book themselves onto shifts which they are able to support.

There will be a variety of shifts on offer, as the demand for COVID vaccinations increases - this will include evening, weekend and short-notice shifts.  COVID vaccination shifts will be available at various sites, including acute hospitals, vaccination hubs and care homes.

In conjunction with the Scottish Government, NHS Education for Scotland (NES) and pharmaceutical organisations, a wealth of training has been developed in order to keep yourself and our patients safe.  NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde have developed a training schedule which all COVID-19 Vaccinators must demonstrate competence in prior to booking the first shift.  The self-directed training will include e-learning, reviewing relevant documents and watching pre-recorded webinars and multimedia.  The training requirements will be provided to you if you are successful in being invited to join the Nursing & Midwifery Staff Bank.
