The purpose of this post is to provide high quality dental services to the population of Greater Glasgow and Clyde to allow them access NHS care under General Dental Service terms and conditions.
The post holder will provide comprehensive clinical care to priority patients throughout the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde area. These patients include children from vulnerable families and adults with chronic illness, the frail elderly, patients with mental health problems, physical, learning disabilities, unregistered patients. This includes, providing access to care for those experiencing homelessness, those resident in prisons and in secure schools and unregistered and registered patients unable to access care due to the impact of the pandemic.
The successful candidates must be BDS qualified and registered with the General Dental Council as a Dentist.
The post holders will be expected to work at various clinics throughout the NHS GGC’s Public Dental Service providing dental care for both registered and unregistered adult and paediatric patients.
These categories include patients on referral to the service. Treatment may involve dental care under sedation or general anaesthetic after suitable training is completed. Applications from candidates seeking Part time hours and Job share arrangements will be considered.
Interviews for this post will be held on the 1st of March AM and the 3rd of March all day.
